Assignment for Tues, Sept 29
For my first major paper, I have chosen the issue about human rights in Tibet as my topic. The Tibetan situation, which has become a hot spot not only in China but also around the world now. It is a serious political event that relates to the people’s security and social stability in China.
I am going to do some research on the history of Tibet so that I can know more about people’s lives there and their thoughts. Then I will develop my argument that what caused Tibetan riot further according to those historical realities and current facts.
Some Tibetans said that they were struggling for their human rights. But what is the real situation in Tibet? Most people do not really know that. These Tibetans are really wanting the so-called human rights or just splitting our country? That’s a question I will explain in detail in my paper later. Actually, since the Olympic Game held in Beijing last year, some Tibetans has never stop doing something to split China under the veil of human rights. So, I am working on this paper to oppose to their actions.
I will start the paper with a riot organized by some Tibetans in Paris during the Olympic Game last year. Then I will make an argument about the causes of a series of riots in Tibet. The body paragraphs will focus on the human rights in Tibet, and those Tibetan’s motivations to split the country.
